General Instructions

* the web address (URL) is: http://blackboard.stonybrook.edu
* a student's username is his/her sparky ID, usually the first initial and the first seven letters of the last name (please note that students with "common" last names will not have the standard username)
* a student's default password is the Stony Brook ID number (SOLAR number)
* a student's default email is his/her sparky email
* if a student is having difficulties logging on to Blackboard, send him/her to the SINC site in the Main Library or the Student Union basement where consultants and staff can help
