Due Dates
Learning and online courses are non-sequential and often non-linear. Distance Education is touted as anytime, anywhere learning and yet we know that online students tend to procrastinate. To this end, the due dates listed below, with one notable exception (see below), are not hard and fast, but are to serve as guidelines.......something to shoot for. If you find you are a week or two behind, catching up can be difficult or impossible.
There are four assignments, and thirteen sets of discussions / questions (Blackboard - Discussion Board)) and the academic calendar runs from January 24th to May 9th. Discussions / Questions will run concurrently and are sequential but you can go ahead at your discretion.
If you do not reach the February 6th ( Set up E-mail and preliminary web page ) deadline and you still wish to remain in the course, you must contact me by E-mail to make an appointment to physically see me at my convience. I will make other arrangements for those outside Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Together, we will see if we can resolve whatever problem(s) you are encountering.
If you miss the February 26th. deadline and do not contact me for an appointment, I will assume you are no longer interested in the course and may remove you from the roster.

I tend to review the projects within twenty four hours after the due date. If you have posted an assignemnt and an E-mail address on the web site as required, you will hear from me shortly after the due date with an assessment. If projects are not posted in a timely fashion, I cannot review them and do not have time to go back on a random schedule to check up on postings. Evaluations on late projects will be cursory at best and final.
I will generally be checking/lurking Bb on a daily basis and will comment when necessary or when I have something to add to the discussion.
