Mandatory Activities
This is a dynamic document. Any printed copy may be obsolete. Check the online version regularly.
Each student is considered a member of a team. You are to be a contributing member because team work and collaboration are important components of this class.
Participation in this course is broken down into several requirements for successful completion of the course:
- Have Fun.
- Fill out the Questionnaire and submit it before the first week of class. (See A Community) Failure to submit a questionnaire by the first week of class may result in your being dropped from the course to make room for others.
- Check your E-mail and Blackboard (Bb) at least once a day.
- Regularly participate and share material with the class.
- Activate your SUNYSB E-mail address and web page on the University server for your work. We have established new E-mail accounts and a default password for all students enrolled in this course by the first week of the course - see the roster page for your status. Work can be posted to your own (Please send me the url if you choose this option.)or school server but you cannot use the services of commercially available servers. i.e., AOL, Homestead, etc.

- Collaborate with colleagues: review each other's projects both in and out of your respective teams.
- Notify class when posting a project to your webfolio
- Four (4) Practical Assignemnts employing the constructivist principles posited in the required text.
- Thirteen (13) Discussion responses
- Regularly upload projects your web site reflecting your travels and knowledge acquisition in cyberspace.
- Throughout the semester you must demonstrate, through your practical projects and threaded discussion, a mastery of the material covered in the required text.
- Participation in weekly threaded E-mail discussion in Blackboard (Bb)
- Did I mention fun?
