This is designed for you to learn something about research methodology and particularly about some methods that you could use to do a little research project in educational technology.

There are basically four types of research methods that we will cover in this module (some other approaches will be discussed a little on the side.)

1. Qualitative research (or ethnography) and action research/
2. Teaching experiment.
3. Think aloud protocol or talk aloud protocol
4. Action research
   

(There will also be some talk of " interventions" and some other methods.)

For each of these areas, I will try to supply a mini-lecture, perhaps a reading that's either in the mini-lecture or accessible at a URL.
