DECEMBER CRAFTS

**Christmas Stocking**
This craft can be done with children as young as 4 years old.

Supplies Needed

How To Do:
First you have to make a pattern of a stocking. Double the paper and then cut out the pattern that was just made. You should now have two stockings. The child can now make holes going around the edge of the stockings with the hole puncher (the paper should be doubled at this point). Thread the needle with the yarn and sew the stockings together. To decorate the stocking you can draw a design with glue and then sprinkle glitter on it.

*Optional
Instead of making a pattern for a stocking you can make a pattern for a Star of David or even a menorah. After you have made your pattern and punched holes around it you can then sew it up but leave a little opening. You can stuff tissues or crumpled paper into your pattern and then finish sewing until it is all closed up. When complete you can decorate your pattern with glue and glitter as stated above. You can also use markers or crayons to decorate it. Your finished project can be hung in a window.
