Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED)

Alpha Epsilon Delta seeks to provide the tools necessary for its members to obtain success. This includes informational sessions and guest speakers which keeps members knowledgeable to deadlines, current health issues, and allows them to learn about different fields of medicine. Members also get insight into the future with visits from medical students and doctors. In addition, membership in Alpha Epsilon Delta can give members a sense of pride and involvement especially during community service events. Members of Alpha Epsilon Delta also receive some very tangible benefits as well including discounts on Kaplan MCAT classes and eligibility for the Moore Scholarship and other smaller scholarships.

Membership in Alpha Epsilon Delta is noted on your transcript and one way to distinguish yourself as one of the elite. However, the strength of this distinction and status among the elite is only as strong as the members. It is the members and their consistent involvement which maintain this prestigious organization.

Applications for Alpha Epsilon Delta membership are available twice a year (one time per semester). The requirements for membership are a 3.2 cumulative GPA and a 3.2 science GPA. In addition, applicants must have had at least three semesters of college level work.
