CARA is happy to announce the Chapin Ping Pong Competition 2007 starting @ 10 AM, April 28th (Saturday) in the Chapin community center.Residents interested in participating in the competition need to mail the following details to chapin@ic.sunysb.edu on or before 10 PM, April 25th (Wednesday);

| CARA Movie Night Restarted |
| On popular demand CARA Movie Night is back. Every Friday 8pm to 9:30pm in Chapin Community Center enjoy Movie with Hot Pizza and Soda.

| Recycling in Chapin |
| New recycling containers have
been placed beside the garbage containers so that Chapin can contribute
to the campus-wide recycling effort as well. Blue recycling bins
have been supplied to all the apartments for this purpose. The recycling
containers have details about what is suitable for recycling
and what is not. |
| Improvements in Chapin |
|
During summer, the Chapin Quad
has had many improvements. Roads have been freshly resurfaced,
and parking lines have been re-painted. Enclosures have been built
for the garbage containers. New gardens have been planted.
Residents are requested to remove their belongings (especially bicycles)
from the area under the metal stairs. This area will be paved just
like the roads.

| Air Conditioning in Chapin |
| If you plan to apply for air-conditioning
in your room, please do so right away. The last round of air conditioning
installations will occur some time in August. Applications for air
conditioners have to be placed at the Chapin Quad office. Rents
for increase by $17 for each air-conditioner installed; in shared
rooms both residents will share half the cost. |
