Over the course of two semesters, the Go club will travel to a number of tournaments. Though it varies every year, we make it a tradition to go to the New Jersey Open tournament hosted at Princeton. The Stony Brook Go Club is once again having an American Go Association ranked tournament during the annual presented by the Japan Center at Stony Brook, held annually in the Wang Center. The Sakura Matsuri is an annual Cherry Blossom Festival that celebrates Japanese culture by hosting numerous events and exhibitions. Among these include performances by Stony Brook's Taiko Tides, a martial arts demonstration, a Kimono Fashion Show, an Origami Workshop, and many many more. Between playing rounds of Go, participants can browse around the many exciting events at the Cherry Blossom Festival.

AGA sanctioned Tournament
Requires AGA membership. Attendies can either buy membership online at http://usgo.org or on site: $10 for youth under age of 23, $30 for people age 23 and older, or $10 for a one day pass.
All ranks are welcome!

Directions: The Stony Brook Cherry Blossom Festival Spring Tournament is in the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook University. It is easily accessible by train or by car.
Checkin will start at 9:30AM and the tournament begins at 10AM.
