Our Mission:

The Graduate Student Italian Club aims to promote Italian culture and language at SUNY, Stony Brook. The club officers, made up of predominantly Teaching Assistants of Italian in the European Language Department, are interested in organizing activities for their students outside the classroom. Therefore, during our meetings we will try to offer to both Italian and non-Italian students (graduate and undergraduate) the possibility to practice the language, to get in touch with the contemporary Italian culture through cinema, music, theatre and literature, and to have fun in a friendly atmosphere. We will also share Italian food and ‘secret’ recipes of tasteful Italian dishes. Moreover, we are planning to go and visit interesting places connected to the Italian culture, like Little Italy and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in New York City.
