Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. the first black intercollegiate
fraternity founded in 1906 on a predominantly white Cornell University
campus, pledges to devote its resources to service the community. While
social aspects of college life is recognized, AFA's primary purpose is and
forever shall be community action through educational, economic and
cultural service activities.
