On April 20, 1995, La Unidad Latina Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Inc.,
was officially recognized, at the State University of New York at Stony
Brook: Upsilon Chapter. However, it was until the fall of that year that
this organization could begin accomplishing these goals with the birth of
Alpha line on November 10, 1995. It was the vision of five young ambitious
men to create a new environment of cultural, political, and social awareness
in an institution of higher learning for all the constituents of the
university.

Since then the school has become much inspired with the amount
of educational programs and events which have helped to ignite not only the
spirits of Latinos, but catering and appealing to all the diverse groups
