"Every member makes a difference" Once upon a time, twenty-five diverse women were searching for their place on the Stony Brook University Campus in the fall of 1993. They searched for a group that would meet their diverse interests and goals. Not finding exactly what they were looking for, they decided to form the interest group ATHENA. After a long year of determination, on November 14, 1994 they were officially installed as ALPHA SIGMA ALPHA. Now eight years later our organization has grown into a sorority of knowledge, successful and personable women. The perseverance of this passionate sisterhood has not only blossomed through the years but has taken on a life of its own. It has become an aspect of each of our lives, which has made our college experience with ony another unbelievable and unforgettable. Our Core values are...
