Three regions, three names, three ways to celebrate, but the same purpose. Welcome the changing season. Most of us experienced our first winter in Stony Brook. After the harsh and severe winter, the changing season was definitely a cause for celebration. And keeping with tradition we decided to do it desi eshtyle. We celebrated Lohri with Lohri Prasad, Pongal was celebrated by Pongal for Prasad and Makar Sankranti was celebrated with til gud. For people with lack of knowledge about either of the festival there were enlightening speeches about each.

The evening came to an end with a few laughs over "Hera Pheri", Popcorn and probably the most enjoyed Bhel. The event was a celebration of a happy much awaited change and we hope it bought with it all each of us expected and hoped for.
