02/15/05 - Welcome back everyone! We are in the process of reserving a room for the meetings (hopefully the same one that was used last semester) and thinking of different topics to be discussed throughout the semester (although the topics themselves will be up for discussion). When a date has been set for the first meeting it will be announced on the mailing list and on this website. Hope to see everyone there.

12/10/04 - On account of finals, I'd like to wish everyone good luck on their exams. Hope to see you all next semester!

11/30/04 - Due to administrative with Stony Brook Student Accounts, LUGSB has been largely inactive. However the club (as well as the website) are back in business. I apologize to anyone who has checked the website or sent any e-mail to the club's address. I've only recently been able to get access to both, which explains why the LUGSB site has not been updated since the beginning of the semester. By next semester things should be running smoothly. Meanwhile, keep checking the website for updates and sign up for the Mailing List.

3/23/04 - LUGSB is hosting two events at the ICON Science Fiction Convention this year. The convention runs from March 26th-28th. We are conducting a panel titled, "The current state of Linux and Open Source Software." At this panel five of our members will be holding a group discussion concerning Linux, where it stands, and where it's going. The panel will be held Saturday evening at 5pm in the Old Chemistry building room 138. Immediately following the panel, we're holding an install-a-thon in the same room (Old Chem 138) from 6pm-9pm. So, if you'd like Linux installed on your computer, this is the best way. Bring your computer down and we'll help install it and set you up to the best of our abilities. Hope to see you all there.
