Mike Eaton Skydiving

I took a trip to Florida for a wedding, and these are the first in a series of bachelor party pictures that show my 60-second freefall from 13,000 ft.  A camera guy was with us (often within about 1 meter) for the whole fall.  After the minute of falling without a parachute, you pull the 'chute and sail for 8 minutes.  Acrophobia be damned -- I HIGHLY recommend skydiving.  After you do it, you'll know why the birds sing.

On a materials-science related vein, at 120 mph, your skin apparently undergoes a phase transition and turns into rubber; check out my neck and cheek flaps in this pic.  Hilarious.

Katarzyna Sawicka aka "Kasia" Kissing a Dolphin

YES I SWAM WITH A DOLPHIN! I will never be able to repay my sister for this encounter. Last year we went to the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Resort in Oahu, Hawaii. It was a half-hour session, where we got to interact with the animals in their habitat. It was a bit slimy, but it was definitely one of the greatest experiences of my life. At one point my sister and I had to hold the big guy up, and even with buoyancy it was not easy. The dolphins are incredibly engaging, and I wish we had more time with them. If you enjoy water, and are an animal lover I strongly, strongly RECOMMEND!
