Chuan Huang, Ph.D. currently is an Assistant Professor in Radiology and Psychiatry, Director of PET/MR Clinical Research at Stony Brook Medicine.

Before joining Stony Brook, Dr. Huang was Instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Assistant in Physics at Massachusetts General Hospital.

He earned his doctoral degree in Mathematics (minor in Optical Sciences) on Medical Imaging at The University of Arizona. His research focused on image analysis/reconstruction and parametric MRI. In 2012, Dr. Chuan Huang extended his research interest into simultaneous PET-MR, In 2013, one year after extending his research into PET-MR, Dr. Huang was awarded Honorable Mention in the Young Investigator Award Symposium of the SNMMI annual meeting. He received the same award in 2014 SNMMI annual meeting.
