The oculus combines a traditional gaming experience with a new twist that is more user friendly and interactive. The company says “Rift is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Whether you’re stepping into your favorite game, watching an immersive VR movie, jumping to a destination on the other side of the world, or just spending time with friends in VR, you’ll feel like you’re really there.” This experience enables the users to both get up and move but also do it in the comfort of their own home. This opportunity opens new doors for fitness companies such as UFC and even Zumba to market along with the rift and create fitness based videogames. This opportunity can let the user live their dreams through their headset and the best part is you don’t have to go anywhere. The oculus can be a very useful machine for both games and businesses since it may be used to eventually train workers in the force. The Oculus Poses many benefits such as Immersive gaming, watching movies in VR, education and even training for jobs. However, one setback the Oculus may have is the crowd it appeals, since its gamers may become addicted to the experience it may make real life unappealing and boring. According to Stuart Dredge in his article Oculus Rift – 10 Reasons Why All Eyes Are Back on Virtual Reality he states that the oculus is “A technology for social interaction that involves strapping on a headset that isolates us from the real world around us.” Another thing that may affected is the quality of gaming since other gaming experiences may be obsolete. Since it has not made it to console platform gaming it may not be as main stream as it should be. Although this device may have its setbacks its benefits are greater. Its users will be able to use it on its PC platforms, gaming consoles are still in development for use with the Oculus.

The Oculus rift’s promising abilities make it very appealing and cool. The only downside to this system is its price. However, once it focuses on the console gaming population sales will definitely skyrocket. The Oculus Rift is a big step into Virtual Reality for both gamers and businesses and will continue to grow in the world of Virtual Reality.
