The 1939-1940 New York World's Fair; This was the first fair and was held at the same site as the one above. Did you know that one of the buildings from this fair went on to become the home of the United Nations and was in the other fair. You can now see it on you tube.
After the 1964 Fair came the Queens Zoo, built on the site of the Chrysler Pavilion.

Where did we go to see all those fantastic stars like Marlon Brando and Marilyn Monroe. Well, it was probably at the Trylon in Rego Park, the Fresh Meadows, the Elmwood, or the Loew's Valencia in memories and pictures.
