Introduction

Informatics is the scientific process of using technology to share, retrieve, and store medical data for information/knowledge. The motives for the development of informatics is to eliminate problems like medical errors, reduce the rising cost of healthcare, and to expand access to care. This course was designed as a resource for undergraduate senior students concentrating in Informatics. Students will develop an understanding of the role of technology in a healthcare environment.
