About the author
I am a student at SUNY Stony Brook in the MD/PhD program. Currently, I have just finished my first year of graduate studies after having completed two years of medical school. I am working in Emilia Entcheva's laboratory in the department of Biomedical Engineering examining the effects of scaffolding on cultured neonatal ventriculocytes.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved here to the United States when I was 7 years old. After moving around several places, my family ultimately settled down in Goshen, NY. For my undergraduate studies, I went to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD where my primary degree was in Biomedical Engineering, but I also satisfied the requirements for a degree in Material Science and Biology.
