Back in high school, during the breaks, my friends and I would venture off to new unfamiliar locations. We enjoy the thrill of being somewhere we have never been before. In this picture, we are exploring an abandoned building at Fort Tilden, a former United States Army establishment in the New York City borough of Queens. Since World War I, this building and others in the area were used to store artillery. Now, they are covered with graffiti and used as a temporary form of shelter for homeless people.
