Jerónimo Pan

I am a benthic ecologist in progress, interested in benthic-pelagic coupling mechanisms through trophic interactions. I find benthic ecology and the management of coastal environments one of the most promising research and applied lines within oceanography. The benthic environment is an outstanding multi-dimensional ecosystem, highly variable both in space and time scales. Furthermore, most of the human impact on marine ecosystems is concentrated on littoral areas where ecological processes are of key importance. I am currently working on what will be my doctoral thesis at the Marine Sciences Research Center (MSRC) of Stony Brook University.
