Hello, and thank you for coming to my website. It`s been a busy semester in Theatre 216 and an exciting one. I have learned a great deal about how media is presented in society and I think that now, I have a greater appreciation for it. Through my various projects as well as my Media events, I have learned that media can be displayed in the different ways, each exciting in it`s own right. I have learned how to make a collage of different photos and turn into an exciting advertisement. I have learned how to make pictures tell a story when I made my slideshow. I have also learned the fine art of directing and editing. While I am by no means a professional, I enjoyed it very much and am actually looking forward to give my directing chops another go around. Finally, I have designed this website which has been a challenge, but fulfilling nonetheless. It is a culmination of an exciting semester and an exciting class. The website is a prefect showcase for all of my work, and I hope to add some more in the future. Media has always been somewhat of a passion for me. My father would call my room a `Multi-Media Experience`. This was for several reasons. One, I have two computers pretty much at all times operating in my room. I had a TV, of course, equipped with a Tivo, a DVD player, and of course, a pretty powerful sound system. I could also watch TV on my computer and watch movies on it as well. Media for me has always been about the latest and the greatest. I remember when it used to be a treat to see a streaming web cast. Now, they are commonplace. I think there is a huge future for all Media, and it will continue to evolve with technology. I believe that billboards everywhere will soon be replaced by large LCD TV`s that can change their advertisements in seconds. Computers and the internet will continue to be the center of the Media revolution. This class has helped me appreciate it more, and look for it more and more. I can honestly say that this class has not changed my views that much on how media has been presented to me. I think that for people that are less technologically inclined, it serves as a great class to get them to know more about it can appreciate it. However, I happen to be a little more advanced than some when it comes to Media and technology and have always looked for the newest and the greatest. I was still able to enjoy it and the projects made it that more fulfilling. |
