I am currently a Computer Science student in my Junior year attending Stony Brook University. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York where I attended Fort Hamilton High School. My interest in computer science was sparked by an acquaintance at Fort Hamilton who introduced me to cyber security so I decided to attend CUNY Brooklyn College as a computer science major. I attended Brooklyn College for 3 semesters, took several computer science courses but felt I wasn't being challenged academically in their program which is why I transferred to Stony Brook University in Spring 2016. I hope to complete Stony Brook's computer science program by Spring 2018 to pursue a career as a software developer/engineer.
I've been playing handball since I was 12 years old. I was introduced to the sport by my older sister and fell in love with it instantly. I played on my high school handball team from 2010 - 2014 and became captain my senior year. I've participated in several tournaments but the most memorable one was when I won 1st place in the 2014 High School Spring Meet.
My first time ever snowboarding was at the age of 12. My sister brought me along with a few of her friends to Jack Frost/Big Boulder Resort. It was about a 3 hour drive there and not even an hour in I broke my clavicle. It was a scarring moment for me and I didn't go snowboarding again until I was 20 years old. I went back to Jack Frost/Big Boulder Resort with a few friends and I instantly fell in love with it and went every weekend for a month.
I started bowling in my sophomore year of high school for fun with a few close friends. We decided to try out for our school team as a joke and we all ended up making the team and bowling soon became one of my favorite sports. I was very interested in the sport and practiced a lot my first year, enough that I ended up being one of the top 5 players on the team. I played for my high school team from 2011 - 2014 and became captain my senior year. I participated in several tournaments but the most memorable one was when I won 2nd place at the Boys Brooklyn Individuals with a 685 series which is my highest series to date.
My interest in bikes developed back in 2013 - 2014, at the time single speed, fixed gear bikes were considered very trendy and I took part in the fad by purchasing my first fixed gear bike from Republic Bikes. Biking quickly became my favorite thing to do, at the time I would bike everywhere I went whether it was to school or to the city. I rode in several meet ups with local bikers in the city and met many wonderful people. I eventually retired my first bike in 2015 and build my first bike from scratch. Biking was an every day activity for me at the time so I decided to make some money in 2016 and applied to work for PostMates as a bike courier.
