Carrie and Charles Davis transported, among other things, Long Island crops, aboard their coastal schooner. Look at the photos of the Ruth B. Cobb. The Davises boat would have been similar. Those boxes on deck may have contained the ship's cargo.

 Draw a picture of five things you might find if you opened the boxes. You can use the websites below to get some ideas. If you need more inspiration, visit your local farmstand. Many of the crops grown on Long Island during the 19th century are still grown today.
