The original photo was of poor quality, was faded in the corners, had a large hole in it, had jagged and irregular boarders, was covered in dust, and, of course, was in black and white.

The Adjustments Bar and Dodge and Burn, Clone Stamp, Crop, Spot Healing Brush, and Paint Brush tools were used to correct each problem, respectively.

The most difficult issue to correct was the large hole because it was filled with the railing which had to be perfectly straight in order to appear realistic.

The most enjoyable part of this edit was colorizing it because it provided an opportunity to be creative.

The original photo was of poor quality, had dark patches, had an uneven boarder, was covered in dust, had dull colors, and had a thumb in it.

The Adjustments Bar and Dodge and Burn, Crop, Spot Healing Brush, Paint Brush, and Clone Stamp tools were used to correct each problem, respectively.

The most difficult issue to correct was removing the thumb because in order to do so I had to extend the wall by lining up the moulding and wall paper in a realistic manner.

The most enjoyable part of this edit was recoloring the couch because it added a lot of character to the photo and contrasted nicely with my Grandpa Mike's suit.

The original photo was of poor quality, had dull and lifeless colors, was scratchy in some areas, was covered in dust, and had an obscure object and a thumb in it.

The Adjustments Bar and Paint Brush, Dodge and Burn, Spot Healing Brush, and Clone Stamp tools were used to correct each problem, respectively.

The most difficult issue to correct was removing the thumb because it covered both a shelf and a person. I used the clone stamp tool to extend the shelf to cover it, and also used the clone stamp tool to edit the woman so that her head appeared to be outside of the photo window.

The most enjoyable part of this edit was colorizing the party hat and the birthday cake because they added to the happiness displayed in the photo.

Rockaway Beach

Significance

I Chose this photo because it meant a lot to my Grandparents. The original quality of the photo was so poor that it was difficult to see; especially at their age. They were very happy with the final edit and were amazed that their old black and white photos could be colorized. They are currently 89 and 93 years old and still love going to the beach.

Sunday Morning

Significance

I Chose this photo because it meant a lot to my Dad. My Grandpa Mike passed away 15 years ago and we don't have too many good pictures of him. My Dad was very happy that I was able to clean this up for him. The edited photo is now framed and hanging on our living room wall.

Birthday Boys

Significance

I Chose this photo because I thought it was really special. It included several family members that I had heard thousands of stories about, but never actually got to meet. I find this picture really interesting and love how it looks now that it has been edited.
