My Research

  • I am a new graduate student in Institute for Terrestrial and Planetary Atmospheres ( ITPA ), Marine Sciences Research Center ( MSRC) in the Spring semester 1997, as a RA in Dr.Duane Waliser's research group. There are many chinese students,, like Zhixiong Shi, whose current work is to calculate the mass stream function of Hadley and Walker cells, to study the varibilities and covaribility of the two cells by using combined EOF and SVD analysis techniques. DATA from NMC reanalysis monthly data of currently 13 years. It will be extended to more than 20 years(1974-1996) soon.
