4:30 PM Open Standard and Smooth
5:00 PM Professional Showcase by World Professional Rhythm Champions Jose DeCamps and Joanna Zacharewicz
5:45 PM Open Latin and Rhythm

Rules and Fees:

Rules:

•	Level Restrictions:
o	Newcomer: Restricted to competitors who began competing no earlier than Spring Semester 2007 and who have competed in no more than 2 previous competitions. No costumes are allowed in this category. Newcomer and Bronze syllabus only. No open choreography.
o	Bronze/Silver/Gold: Please compete in accordance to YCN point distinctions. Costumes allowed. Syllabus through registered level. No open choreography.
o	Open: Open to all. Open choreography and costumes are allowed. 
•	Syllabus Restrictions:
o	We will be using the USISTD syllabi for International style and any NDCA approved syllabus for American style.
o	No continuity endings in Newcomer or Bronze except for the Promenade Chasse in Waltz and Foxtrot
o	You may dance at adjacent levels.
♣	i.e. registering for Bronze American Swing and Silver International Waltz is permitted.
♣	i.e. registering for Bronze American Swing and Gold International Foxtrot is NOT permitted.
o	You may dance up a level in an event (Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, Latin) if a dance is not offered in your level, provided they are adjacent levels. 
o	You must dance the level of the more advanced partner.
o	Double registration is allowed ONLY between Gold and Open categories.
•	Disclaimer
o	The Stony Brook Ballroom Dance Team is not liable for any injuries that may occur during the course of the competition. All dancers participate at their own risk.
o	We are not responsible for any stolen or damaged property during the course of the competition. All participants are responsible for their own belongings.
o	We reserve the right to cancel any events or change the schedule.
o	When submitting registration, a participant agrees to abide by the rules set forth by the SBU Ballroom Dance Team governing the competition.


Fees: 

Regular: $15 (until February 15th)
Late: $20
Team Rate: $300 (For teams of at least 20 people)
