History
The Alpha Chapter
of Epsilon Sigma Phi Sorority, Inc. was founded at SUNY Stony Brook
on November 21, 1995. From a group of thirty interested women, only
eleven proved to have the dedication, determination and discipline
to fulfill the goal of founding a sorority that would stand out
from the rest.
Epsilon
Sigma Phi lives by the motto "What we want most to be we are."
Our sorority is about acceptance, appreciation and self-confidence,
attributes that we stress in both ourselves and others. The only
standard that Epsilon Sigma Phi holds is acceptance of all the different
kinds of people. Our sorority stands foremost for diversity, in
its members and in the community around us.
Stress on good
deeds is what gives Epsilon Sigma Phi the strength it values highly. High
morals, devotion, disciplines are what made the founders of this elite
sorority and what makes the sisters of Epsilon Sigma Phi as we focus on,
build and work hard for our fellow leaders of tomorrow.
