Who We Are

The Protestant Campus Ministry (PCM) is a Christian witness to God's love and creativity. We invite you to explore the big questions of life in a non-judgmental Christian group. We seek to serve all persons without regard to their denominational affiliation, age, race, national origin, or sexual orientation. Our membership encompasses the students, faculty, administration, and staff of Stony Brook University, as well as people from the greater community.

Our Chaplain is an Episcopal Franciscan brother. St Francis inspires the work and ministry of Protestant Campus Ministry. You can pray for PCM by saying this prayer of St. Francis.

Lord, make us instruments of your peace.
where there is hatred, let us sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope:
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
