Materials and process optimization for polymer:fullerene bulk heterojunction solar cells.

2003-2008 Research Assistant Advisor: Wei Zhao, PhD
SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY

Perform validation of a modified non-prewhitening matched filter (NPWE) model observer using human observer experiments. Observer performance was determined by imaging the CDMAM 3.4 contrast detail phantom for mammography using an amorphous selenium flat panel x-ray detector for digital mammography. Additional research focus is on the development and characterization of a hybrid detector concept using cesium iodide coupled to avalanche gain amorphous selenium to produce an x-ray detector capable of quantum noise limited performance at low x-ray exposure.

SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY

Develop software to simulate the 2D x-ray projection image acquisition process as part of a larger platform to simulate 3D breast tomosynthesis.

July-Dec 2002 Laboratory Rotation I Advisor: Wei Zhao, PhD
SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY

Set up framework for a contrast performance study to compare direct and indirect flat- panel x-ray detector technologies for digital mammography.
